Nigerian Afropop sensation Ugochi Lydia Onuoha, popularly known as Guchi, has issued a warning that if any of her cherished songs are withheld from release by her record label, she will take matters into her own hands by leaking them to the public.
She took to Twitter to express her frustration with the complexities surrounding the release of her music.
According to her, she cannot comprehend why a singer will record a heartfelt song but will be given a thousand reasons why the song should not be released.
The talented singer emphasized the importance of preserving the artiste’s passion, urging record labels not to let the business side of the industry overshadow the artistic drive and purpose.
“Music shouldn’t be this complicated!” Guchi tweeted.
“You record a song from your heart, and you are told a thousand reasons why you shouldn’t put out the song!! Why are there too many processes in something that’s a free gift from God??
“Labels should remember, passion led the artist here and shouldn’t let the business side of things override that passion.
“If the song I like isn’t released, then I will go ahead a leak it!”

If the song I like isn’t released, then I will go ahead a leak it! ✌??⚡️
However, Guchi, a PG Records Entertainment artiste, did not specify any ongoing conflict with her record label.
