Recall that Gumi, a popular Nigerian Islamic cleric, said military action against criminal herdsmen and bandits will not solve the security challenge, but “will only worsen the situation”. The controversial Islamic preacher was reacting to the recent military bombardment of bandits camp in Zamfara state.
But Fani-Kayode is not impressed.
“For Gumi to say that the killer bandits & terrorists are not going anywhere unless & until they are given amnesty like the Niger Delta militants is asinine & unacceptable. The ND militants did not target, rape & kill women & they did not abduct children from their schools,” he wrote on his verified Twitter handle.
