A student leader in Enugu State, Chinaza Ogbu has been kidnapped by gunmen.
The victim is the immediate past Deputy Senate President of the Student Union Government at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
According to sources, Ogbu was kidnapped along Enugu-Nsukka road on Tuesday night.

The student leader hails from Alor-Agu community in Igboeze South Local Government Area of Enugu State.
The source pleaded with security agencies and the Enugu state government to intervene and secure his release.
This incident occurred despite several military and Police checkpoints along the road.
At the peak of kidnapping activities along the road earlier in the year, the state government intervened by clearing bushy parts for a clearer vision for commuters.
This with the assistance of security agencies helped to curtail kidnapping activities along the road.
The Police in the state is yet to react to this latest incident.
