Some assailants have attacked an Army patrol team near the Nkwo Market at Umunze in Orumba South Local Government of Anambra State.
It was gathered that the security officers were on patrol on Wednesday when they were attacked by gunmen.
An eyewitness said that four soldiers and one civilian were killed during the attack.
However, another eyewitness said that five soldiers and two civilians were killed in the incident.
The army is yet to react or state the exact number of casualties in the attack.
