Gunmen Invade UI Staff Building, Kill NECO Official

An official of the National Examination Council (NECO) identified as Vincent Odinko has been reportedly killed after gunmen invaded the University of Ibadan (UI).

Odinko was killed after gunmen broke into the Boys' Quarter of the Staff building where he resided with his family.

The gunmen also made away with his gadgets including mobile phones and a laptop.

The official was, before his death, working with the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination Internal Unit, Ibadan branch of NECO.

Although the Police are yet to give details of the incident, the Oyo State Police Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso, when contacted, said “Investigations have since commenced. Updates would be provided, please.”
