Gunmen Kill Ebubeagu Operative In Ebonyi

An operative of Ebubeagu security outfit, Sunday Izhikpa was on Friday morning shot dead by gunmen in the early hours of Friday.

The operative was killed while at his duty post at Mkpuma Ekwa-Oku Community in the Izzi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.

It was learned that the deceased was a native of Nduakparata Igbeagu in the same local government area.

An eyewitness revealed that he was killed by the gunmen at his duty post, Mkpuma Ekwa-oku in Izzi, adding that the corpse of the victim has been evacuated from the scene, where he was murdered this morning.

The Ebonyi State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Chris Anyanwu, also confirmed the killing, saying that the victim was shot in the early hours of Friday.

“Yes, I have called a personnel of Ebubeagu and he said that the attack was true.”
