Gunmen on Saturday evening, stormed a mining site in Dong Village, located in Jos North Local Government Council of Plateau State, killing four workers in the onslaught.
The attack occured around 6:30 pm with no fewer than four men shot dead while a woman who survived the gun attack is receiving treatment in the hospital.
Plateau Police Command's spokesman, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Gabriel Ubah confirmed the attack in Jos, stating that personnels are in position to arrest the situation.
Ubah said, “We are aware of the attack and four people were killed.
“The command has deployed armed police men to the area and calm has returned."
