About 25 people were killed by gunmen in southwestern Niger Republic as the country's government declared late Wednesday. It was stated that buildings were burned and many killed in the attack that left the country in jeopardy.
The latest attack shows the trend of violence in the country as it also denotes the lack of good security measures to keep the nation safe as terrorist groups like al-Qaida and ISIS have been terrorizing the country at large.
Also, it is worth knowing that earlier this month, suspected Islamic groups ambushed western Niger killing 69 people and in March too, 137 people were also killed by gunmen which left a bad mark on the nation's image.
No group has claimed responsibility for this week’s attack but many have thoughts on the al-Qaida as they are one of the most fearful terror groups terrorizing the nation and the government has responded saying the security are in action to nab those responsible for the incident.
