Unidentified gunmen have shot the Protocol Officer to the immediate past Chief of Staff to the Rivers State Government House, Justice Azunda.
The assailants also took him away to a nearby bush in the area.
A source from the community who confirmed the incident said they were uncertain if Azunda died from the gunshot injury before being dragged away.
Police personnel from the Rumuoji Police Division have already visited Isiodu and some other Emohua communities; however, the Rivers State Police Command is yet to issue an official statement on the attack.
In the meantime; the Council Chairman of Emohua local government has increased the bounty placed on the head of Nwodi and his gang to N2,000,000.
The chairman also banned the use of motorcycles in the local government.
