Gunmen Shot Four Customers, Made Away With Money In POS Atta

Gunmen shot sporadically at customers during an attack on a PoS shop in Panyam District of Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State on Sunday night. 

According to NAN reports, the incident happened between 9 p.m and 9.30 p.m on Sunday, when some armed men opened fired on-air as they made their way to the point of sale system (POS) shop belonging to one Ifeanyi Ide.

It was learned that the pos shop owner was left unhurt but four customers were reported to have sustained various degrees of injuries.

An eye witness, Dakok said, “We heard gunshots and we concluded that they have killed the PoS operator. we got to know that he was left untouched but not the four people they met in his shop as they were shot and wounded.

Mangu Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Yusuf Balami, confirmed saying, "the robbers carted away some undisclosed amount of money leaving behind four wounded persons.”

Balami said the robbers had finished their operation and left before the officials of the Nigerian Police Force in the state got to the scene.

The officer confirmed that the four persons shot had been taken to COCIN Rural Health Hospital, Panyam, for treatment.
