People of Gwaram Community in Gwaram local government of Jigawa have renovated an out post of the Nigerian Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) to encourage the security personnel protect lives and properties of residents in the area.
Appreciating the community members, the state command’s Public Relations Officer, CSC Adamu Shehu on Sunday in Dutse said this is a sign of an excellent relationship between the people and the Corps.
He said the community, under Gwaram Foundation, renovated the outpost at Tshohuwar Gwaram in appreciation of the excellent performance of the corps in the area.
“In recognition of the services rendered by the corps in the state, the community recently handed over a renovated NSCDC outpost at Tsohuwar Gwaram village to compliment the already established NSCDC Divisional office in Sabuwar Gwaram town.
He added that the Commandant of the corps in the state, Musa Alhaji, commended the foundation for the gesture and its concern for the overall security of the community and the confidence reposed in the corps.
The PRO said that the commandant assured that the renovated outpost would be utilised and managed judiciously to meet the expectations of the residents of the community.
He said the commandant had directed the immediate deployment of personnel to the outpost for the protection of lives, property and critical national assets in the area.
