About 550 intending Pilgrims left the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport for Saudia on Monday.
The inaugural Monday flight was sent off by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, who promised the government's commitment to ensure a hitch-free Hajj exercise.
The Governor noted that a group has been constituted to monitor the exercise.
He added that feeding the intending pilgrims is of utmost importance, and officials have been assigned to overlook the feeding process.
Governor Yusuf also revealed that qualified doctors have also been put in place to ensure the quality of health of the intending pilgrims throughout the exercise.
Speaking at the inaugural flight, the State pilgrims board Executive Director, Laminu Rabi'u said the flight consists of intending pilgrims who were not able to fly to Saudia last year due to some challenges.
He assured that plans are in place to ensure a hitch-free Hajj.
The 550 intending pilgrims that left today are amongst the 6,129 Muslims expected to perform the 2023 Hajj exercise.
