Jigawa State Pilgrim Welfare Board has remitted ₦4 billion to the National Hajji Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) as a 100 per cent payment of Hajji fares for the state intending pilgrim this year

The executive secretary of the state pilgrim welfare board, Alhaji Ahmad Labbo said this on Friday at his office.

Labbo noted that the state was allocated a total of 1,625 by the NAHCON and it was sold to the intending pilgrims across the 27 local government areas of the state.

"As part of the preparation to ensure hitch-free Hajji exercise a total of 135 instructors were sent to 27 local government to train the pilgrims on how to perform Hajji and other rules and regulations of the exercise," he further explained.

He added that the board had secured accommodations close to Harami for the state pilgrims to perform their rituals and exercise at ease.

"As usual, the board have formed the health team who have already begun to screen and conduct various test and administrate vaccine to the intending pilgrims."

He also said that the board has selected Azman Airline this year for airlifting the intending pilgrims, adding that, the board has gone per with regard to securing visas for the pilgrims.
