Hamas Warns Of Humanitarian Crisis As Over 1,000 Bodies Trapped Under Gaza Rubble

Hamas Warns Of Humanitarian Crisis As Over 1,000 Bodies Trap

The Hamas interior ministry in Gaza has raised alarm over a dire situation in which the bodies of more than 1,000 Palestinians are entombed beneath the debris of buildings devastated by Israeli airstrikes.

This revelation on Monday comes amidst growing concerns about potential humanitarian and environmental crises in the region.

Eyad al-Bozom, spokesman for the Hamas interior ministry, expressed concern over the bodies in a statement on Monday, a day after the Palestinian civil defence team said that more than 1,000 people were missing under the rubble.

As the death toll rises and the injured numbers swell, Gaza faces the grave consequences of ongoing conflict, which continues to inflict suffering upon its residents.

With a substantial number of individuals missing after buildings collapsed, the situation poses a profound challenge to the already strained infrastructure in Gaza.

As the death toll in Gaza climbed to 2,750, with 9,700 reported injuries, the region confronts an impending humanitarian crisis.

Civilians, including women and children, continue to bear the brunt of the aggression. Hospitals, already grappling with power shortages due to the blockade, now face fuel shortages that threaten their ability to operate.

Moreover, the population has been subjected to a comprehensive siege, with access to essential supplies, food, fuel, medicine, and electricity cut off.
