Hamilton Feeling 'Fresh' After Bouncing Back Strong In Mexic

Mercedes’ star driver Lewis Hamilton is feeling "fresh" after bouncing back to a podium finish at the Mexican Grand Prix following last weekend’s late disqualification in Austin.

The United States Grand Prix disqualified Hamilton for excessive wear to his car's plank assembly, which is used by the FIA to measure ride height legality.

However, the seven-time world champion on Sunday delivered a stellar performance to finish second to Max Verstappen despite starting from sixth on the grid.

He managed to pass Daniel Ricciardo in the opening stages, before overtaking Carlos Sainz for third and Charles Leclerc at Turn 1 after Mercedes switched him over to the Medium tyre.

"I feel fresh, we weren't having to push crazy hard out there, but this is a great result considering we started sixth," Hamilton shared, exuding a sense of relief and satisfaction.

"I'm really proud of the team, it's been a difficult couple of weeks and [it's great] to bounce back from the end result last weekend."
