Tottenham striker Harry Kane has insisted that his teammates must keep "fighting" to advance to the last eight of the Champions League this season.
Kane acknowledged that Spurs had a tough game at the San Siro against AC Milan as they lost 1-0 in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 clash on Tuesday night.
Brahim Daiz gave AC Milan the narrow win, having nodded in a rebound early on after Spurs goalkeeper Fraser Forster had saved a Theo Hernandez shot.
Milan however had two glorious opportunities to ensure Antonio Conte's side fell further behind in the closing stages but Charles De Ketelaere and Malick Thiaw had their chances wasted.
Taking to Twitter after the defeat, Kane tweeted: "Tough game away from home but we are only halfway.
"We need to keep fighting altogether.
"Thank you to all the fans that travelled!"

Spurs will play the second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie with AC Milan on Wednesday, March 8 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Their only chance of avoiding a last-16 exit is to produce a comeback when they play host to Milan.
