Hazard Announces Retirement From Belgium National Team

Eden Hazard Snubs Newcastle Move

Real Madrid forward Eden Hazard announces retirement from International football at the age 31, following the exit of Belgium from the on-going World Cup 2022.

On Wednesday morning, he made the announcement on his social media page.

He wrote: "A page turns today… Thank you for your love,' Hazard wrote on Instagram.

'Thank you for your unparalleled support. Thank you for all this happiness shared since 2008. 

'I have decided to put an end to my international career. The succession is ready. I will miss you….#onestensemble

Eden Hazard Announces Retirement on Instagram

The 31-year-old has opted against another qualification cycle ahead of the 2024 European Championships and after that, the 2026 World Cup.

Hazard has over 126 caps and 33 goals for his country's team while he also served as the captain.
