Headies Award 2022 Event Taking Place In Atlanta, USA

This year's Headies Award is heading to the United States of America as it will take place in Atlanta, Georgia on July 2, 2022.

The show's creator Ayo Animashaun made the disclosure during The Headies Big Announcement which aired on HipTV on Tuesday, February 2.

It will be hosted by Nancy Isime and among those performing will be singer Goya Menor and acclaimed dancer Kaffy.

This marks the first time the annual event which is usually held in Lagos, Nigeria will be taken outside the shores of the country; a move which will no doubt attract more international attention.

The 2022 edition will take place at the COBB Energy Performing Arts Center in Atlanta, USA and the winner will take home a brand new Bentley SUV.

Established in 2006 by the Hip Hop World Magazine, The Headies recognises outstanding achievements in the Nigerian music industry.

Notable celebrities who have played host at the event include Darey Art Alade, D'banj, Banky W, Tiwa Savage, and M.I. Abaga.
