Gombe: Health, Education Top Agenda As Inuwa Yahaya Presents 2023 Budget

Gombe: Health, Education Top Agenda As Inuwa Yahaya Presents

The Governor of Gombe State, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has presented to the State House of Assembly the N173 billion 2023 budget as approved on Wednesday by the State Executive Council.

During the presentation on Thursday, Governor Yahaya listed infrastructural development, education, health and rural development as topping the budget agenda.

The budget was tagged Budget of Further Consolidation.

The governor noted that his administration had laid a foundation that placed Gombe State among the fastest growing states in revenue generation.

Yahaya further expressed optimism to win the 2023 gubernatorial election in the state, making his 2nd term dream a reality.

“The 2023 Budget, being the last in my first-term of four years, is coming at a period of great uncertainties and challenges, both locally and globally.

"From the Covid-19 pandemic, the crash of oil prices, economic recession and geopolitical conflicts across the world, we have in the past three-and-half years, weathered various storms to safely sail the ship of our common destiny towards progress.

“As we prepare for all-important national elections next year, I have no doubt that I will appear before this Honorable House next year, Insha Allah, to present the 2024 Budget,” he said.
