N-Power Stipends: Ministry Of Humanitarian Affairs Gets Arrears To Pay

The five-month unpaid stipends of exited N-Power volunteers have still not been paid, AllNews reports.

Recall that March 2020 to July 2020 stipends (N30, 000/month) were not paid as and when due. Our findings revealed that stipends settlement is often not timely since Sadiya Farouq, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development of Nigeria took over Nigeria's National Social Investment Programmes (NSIPs) role in August 2019. More than 14,000 N-Power Batches A and B beneficiaries are still in the dark regarding their five-month outstanding stipend arrears.

Despite the promise by Sadiya Farouq, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development of Nigeria, to pay all outstanding stipends of exited N-Power beneficiaries before the end of 2020, the Nigerian youths are still yet to get paid - 153 days after her pledge.
