Biafra Political Activist, Nnamdi Kanu has branded killer herdsmen "cowards" following the burning issue of murderous herdsmen accused of several crimes in major parts of Nigeria.
Kanu, the diaspora-based leader of the banned Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), a group canvassing for the secession of Eastern Nigeria, claimed that "man-to-man", killer herdsmen are weaklings.
"As you mull your self-defence, keep in mind that these herdsmen terrorists are COWARDS," Kanu wrote on his known Twitter handle on Sunday.
"They come under cover of darkness and attack women, children and the elderly, most times with the help of their elements in the Army/Police. Man to man, in the open, they cannot stand you. #ESN."
One of the major reasons Kanu said he created the controversial Eastern Security Network (ESN) in December 2020, is to defend the people of the Eastern Region from terrorists and bandits allegedly trooping in from the North.
IPOB added that the aim and objective of the new security outfit is to halt criminal activity and terrorists attack in Eastern Nigeria.
