Veteran Hollywood actor Orson Bean, 91, tragically died on Friday when he was knocked down by a vehicle while walking across a boulevard in Los Angeles.
The Los Angeles County coroner's office confirmed Bean's death, saying it was being investigated as a 'traffic-related' fatality.
"Bean was walking off the crosswalk when he was struck by a vehicle and fell, then was struck by a second vehicle," police said.
According to CNN affiliate KABC, he was pronounced dead in front of the Pacific Resident Theatre, where he and his wife, actress Allison Mills, were company members.
Bean has starred in several films including "' Anatomy of a Murder' and 'Being John Malkovich'
He also received a Tony nod for the 1962 Comden-Green musical 'Subways Are for Sleeping.'
