How Father's Day Got Converted To Drama Day - Paul Okoye

Paul Okoye, a member of the defunct PSquare music group, has condemned some activities on social media, which according to him, has turned Father’s day to a Drama Day.

In a series of tweets in the early hours of Monday, Okoye, also known as Rude Boy, said the community is now a place of war, where societal issues are judged by those he described as ‘Amebo intelligent Centre (A.I.C)’

In another tweet, he recalled asking his father how Nigeria got to the stage it is, in which he attributed to ‘war’.

“When I was growing up, I once asked my dad why is Nigeria like this? What happened? How did it get to this level...he said it was because of the WAR..... now am getting prepared to answer my kids when the time comes ...and when they ask i will tell them is SOCIAL MEDIA.”

In another news, Nollywood screen divas Mercy Aigbe and Tonto Dikeh on Father’s Day 2020 celebrated themselves as single mothers who ‘take up fatherly roles’, after which their estranged husbands responded by throwing subtle shades at them.

Aigbe’s ex-husband, lanre Gentry, in an Instagram post wrote “Happy father’s day and happy Sunday to my good people all over the world.any woman in the world that say happy father’s day to her self should prepare to be paying for the children school fees . Again happy father’s day to me .”

On his part, Tonto’s estranged husband said a father’s will always be a father irrespective of marital challenges.

“Happy Fathers' Day to all the fathers in the world. A father is a father irrespective of marital challenges. A father is not only by way of giving birth to a child; but by way of taking care of children around you, and children around the world who are in need.
