DJ Spinall recently featured rapper and YBNL boss, Olamide on the song ‘Bunda’ but doing that was not a small feat.
In a recent talk, DJ Spinall said that he had been wanting to work with Olamide since 2020.
According to him, when he approached the ‘Bobo’ singer, Olamide suggested that he collaborates with Fireboy DML, who is signed to his record label.
Fireboy and DJ Spinall went on to produce the hit song ‘Sere’ which is still doing great numbers according to the DJ.
DJ Spinall revealed that ‘Sere’ broke records for him, and he went back to Olamide to suggest that they work together.
Olamide then recommended Asake, a fast-rising artiste, and DJ Spinall said he had great energy while working with him on the song ‘Pallazzo’.
Days before the release of ‘Bunda’ featuring Olamide and Kemuel, DJ Spinall revealed in a tweet that it took him five years to convince rapper Olamide to collaborate on the single.
DJ Spinall said he had secured the vocals of Kemuel before flying to Atlanta to meet Olamide at his Ritz Carlton apartment, where he finally agreed to the collaboration.
“God is amazing ! After securing Kemuel’s vocals … I flew to see Baddo at his Ritz Carlton apartment in Atlanta & he finally said yes to this song after 5 years of trying!
“I need you guys to tell the world about this - January 20th we eat good!”
In 2017, Olamide featured DJ Spinall on the song ‘Love No Go Die’.
