How Mother, Children Killed 'Stingy' Husband Over Inheritanc

One Hapsat Sa'idu and two of her children have killed her husband, Sa'idu Mamman in Adamawa to inherit his properties. 

The two children were identified as Faisal Sa'idu and Fa'iza Sa'idu.

The suspects allegedly contacted one Mathew Peter popularly known as Goga to butcher the deceased, late Sa'idu.

However, Peter has escaped arrest and his location is not known to the police yet.

The unfortunate event took place on the 4th of April, 2022 at Sangere FUTY, a community close to the Modibbo Adama University of Technology (MAUTECH) in Girei local government area of the state.

The suspects who confessed to carrying out the crime said they paid Peter the sum of N120,000 to kill the deceased because he was stingy to them.

According to Leadership, the suspects have been detained at the Yola correctional facility by order of the Chief Magistrate Court 1.

The prosecutor, Inspector Hamza Abdullahi said, “The defendants were arrested and they confessed to have conspired among themselves and hired one Mathew Peter (now at large) at the sum of 120, 000, to kill the said Saidu."

The suspects have pleaded guilty in court while Chief Magistrate Abdullahi Mohammed Digil adjourned the case to July 4, 2022, and ordered their remand to the correctional facility, Yola.
