The Shine Ya Eye edition of the BBNaija show came to an end on Sunday, with favourite Whitemoney taking home the grand prize of N90 million. As fans of the show relive its most precious moments, it is important to note that for the first time, over a billion votes were recorded.

As revealed by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, the incredible figure was achieved due to involvement not just from those in the country but fans in the United Kingdom as well.

What this means is that despite the criticisms and backlash that trailed this season as a result of the change in the voting pattern and some unexpected twists, many still invested in the reality show and showed support for their favourites.

Whitemoney who came first after the votes were cast for the six finalists got a landslide victory with 47% while Liquorose came next with 22.99% of votes from fans.
