It is no longer news that WhatsApp has lost a lot of users in the past years owing to some security and privacy lapses.
The platform, which has been trying to win back its users by offering new features and applications since then, is now dealing with a bug.
The bug in question negatively affects the application when a new message arrives.
The Android form of WhatsApp is crashing at whatever point somebody sends a particular message to an endorser through the application.
Security scientist PandyaMayur announced the issue on Twitter.
Don't send this message(https://t.co/wKuoDv7bMr) to anyone chat.otherwise it will Crash WhatsApp(happened only in Android)if already send it than use WhatsApp web or desktop application to delete this.@WhatsApp @Meta #whatsappcrash #wamesettings #meta #bug pic.twitter.com/y0QATSWHiO

Basically, if you send that exact message to a WhatsApp contact who uses the Android version of the app, the app will crash.
WhatsApp users with version 2.23.10.77 appear to be affected by this.
Assuming somebody sends a message to you, the main thing you can do to avoid problems can be opening the app on your computer.
You can resume the conversation on your Android phone after deleting the message on your computer.
