The executive secretary of the National Human Rights Commission, NHRC, Tony Ojukwu, has reacted to a video of a woman and her three months old baby who were assaulted by a SARS official in Oyo state.
It was reported that the woman alongside her little baby was reportedly assaulted by a SARS official, identified as “Idowu SARS” in Ibadan, Oyo state.
Ojukwu alleged that the video was disheartening and justice must be served for a woman and her three-month-old baby.
Reacting to the incident, Tony Ojukwu wrote: “Gov @seyiamakinde, my team is on this but this report on a @PoliceNG SARS Officer popularly known as “Idowu Sars” who pulled up a gun & beat up a woman & her 3-month-old baby in Ibadan is disheartening. Immediate action needs to be taken TOWARDS JUSTICE!”
In an interview, the victim pleaded with Nigerians to come to her aid as she demands justice for herself and her baby.
