Nigerian music sensation Fireboy DML has said that although he expected global fame, he never expected to experience it in detail.
According to him, he is getting used to adjusting to international fame now even though he knows he would never be fully ready for whatever it is he would still experience in the future.
Because of this, the ‘Peru’ hitmaker is taking things one step at a time.
“I expected it but I didn't expect to experience the intricacies of it, like the details and everything inside.
"And I don't think you can prepare yourself for what you are going to see outside when you are intentionally recognized,” Fireboy DML said.
“I went from just being known in Nigeria to being known in Africa and now, it's a whole wide world thing.
“It's only recent and I'm getting used to adjusting to it.
"And I know it's going to get crazier in a couple of years and I won't lie to myself and say Oh let me prepare myself for this. No.
“I know I'm never going to be ready for whatever it is I'm going to meet so I'm taking it one step at a time.”
