Tensions between the United States and China continue to deepen, as the trade deal between both countries seems to have reached a deadlock.
Speaking on the deal, US President Donald Trump said that he was no longer interested in pursuing the deal with Asia's economic power.
During a chat with journalists, when asked if the US was looking to reopen talks about the deal signed with China in January, as China has indicated an interest in doing so, Trump stated, “I’m not interested in that.
“Not even a little bit.
“Let’s see if they live up to the deal that they signed.”

China and the US had partially concluded on a trade deal signed by both parties in January of 2020.
Allnews reports that China's Vice Premier and head of the negotiations, Liu He, had been in contact with the US Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, giving confirmation to the news that both parties were in agreement to implement the first phase of the deal.
The agreement between both countries stated that the US would postpone any increment in tariffs, while China promised to increase its procurement of US goods by $200 billion over two years.
US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has even said claimed that the coronavirus pandemic likely originated in a Chinese laboratory, but acknowledged there was no certainty.
