'I Must Get My Degree' — Bella Shmurda Speaks On Going Bac

Fast-rising singer Akinbiyi Abiola Ahmed a.k.a. Bella Shmurda has said that going back to school (Lagos State University) to finish up his extra years and get his degree is his goal.

The singer opened up on a chat with Melody on City Cafe.

According to him, his mother is always pushing him to finish up and he plans to do just that because it is really what he wants.

"My mom is always on my neck and she works in LASU. To be a responsible child. Not definitely in class but I must get my degree. That's the goal.

"I must finish my carryover. Though I'm done with school and I have an extra year but I must get my degree.

"I would be glad to do that, it's what I really want. I have to finish up."

Bella ShmurdaClarifying the tweet he put up saying that he was grateful for being stubborn and never passing his exams while studying at LASU, the 'Rush' singer stated that he had no intention of discouraging anybody from going to school.

He stated that he only tweeted his own personal experience.

According to Bella Shmurda, if he had not done music, there would have been no other way because he was not doing well academically.

"The major thing is, I was not trying to discourage anybody from school with my tweet. They should not misinterpret that.

"For me personally, it was hard. LASU as a university is a standard University. If you are not strong enough and determined enough, you will see yourself going home

"No discouragement, school is important and it is a major part of a human being's life. You have to be educated, know your own perspective and choose your choice.

"I just thank God I did music because if not, I don't think I have any other way. Even in school, I was not doing well so even if I pass, where will get a job?"

Shortly after the singer took to social media on his birthday to tell his fans that he was glad he dropped out of school to face his passion, LASU urged him to return to school, complete his carryovers and earn his degree.
