I never asked for financial support — Zack Orji's wife

Ngozi Orji, wife of Nollywood actor, Zack Orji, has denied seeking financial support for her ailing husband.

According to reports, Ngozi had requested financial assistance from Nigerians during the visit of the Minister of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa, the Minister of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa, to her husband at the hospital. 

AllNews Nigeria, however, reports that the actor's wife had sought "the support of kind Nigerians to pray for his quick recovery and assist us in any way they deem necessary".

Reacting to reports during a chat with TheCable, Ngozi denied soliciting financial help from the public for her husband.

“Really? For where na? Who did I tell that one? I don’t remember granting such an interview to anybody. It is well. Please, I never said anything,” she said.

Veteran actor Orjiu was rushed to the hospital on December 31 after a toilet accident that affected his speech and movement. 

Hannatu Musawa, who spoke after she visited the actor on Wednesday, disclosed that he underwent brain surgery.
