‘I Stayed In Their Boys Quaters With Cook’, May D Recounts Experience With Psquare

Nigerian singer, songwriter, and dancer, Akinmayokun Awodumila, better known as May D, has recalled the times he was under Square records of Peter and Paul Okoye.

Taking to his social media on Sunday, May D said he never had a bank account and slept in boys’ squatters with their driver and cook in just a room.

AllNews reports that this comes after Cynthia Morgan made allegations about her experience with Psquare’s brother, Jude Okoye.

Morgan claimed her career had slipped, she lost her stage name and Instagram account due to her contract with Jude.

Reacting to Morgan’s claims on social media, May D opened can of worms on the Okoyes.

The singer, who was signed into the Square records in 2011 and parted ways with them in 2013 said: “When I speak, people think I’m ungrateful, but the truth will always come out one way or the other last last cuz I’m a covenant child!

“Do you know I was with Psquare since 2008 I never had a bank account!!

“How can you say (I left because of ) greed when I never billed them for anything I have ever done for them in my life! From writing credit and vocal credit on the invasion album … ask them if I was ever greedy! Just let them say it!

“For your information, I was staying in their boys’ squatters with their driver and their cook just one room all of us shared a toilet and I had big songs and also the other side of their twin duplex was empty! Now! I slept on brand new television carton used my shirt as cover cloth.”
