I Stole My Stage Name — Blaqbonez [Video]

Nigerian rapper Akemefule Emeka aka Blaqbonez has opened up on how he came about his stage name.

On the ‘Tea With Tay’ podcast, he said that he stole the name from his friend.

He explained that the said friend gave himself the name but was not using it for anything.

However, Blaqbonez walked up to him one day and expressed his interest in the name.

“I stole it. It was my friend's name. I'm serious,” Blaqbonez said.

“There was Blaqbonez and he wasn't using it for anything.

"The guy likes rap so he gave himself a rap name.

“He wasn't even rapping. He wasn't doing anything.

"One day, I just said bro, you don't use this name. I like it. That was how I started bearing Blaqbonez.

“He is calling himself Black Lotario. Still a useless name because he is not using it for anything.

“Does anybody know that he is Blaqbonez? If I didn't tell you, you will not know.”
