Ibadan Polytechnic Deploys Amotekun To Challenge Crime

Amid the recent attacks and criminal activities experienced in the institution, the administration of The Polytechnic Ibadan has deployed the Western Nigeria Security Network (WNSN) also known as Amotekun to jointly find solutions to the ongoing chaos.

Daily Post, on Thursday, reports that the institution has in recent weeks experienced cult group clashes, armed robbery and other criminal activities, hence, the need for the service of Amotekun.

According to the news platform, workers security has been positioned in important places within the campus, including the institution's gate.

It was also reported that Amotekun workers were spotted mounting the gate to the institution's sewage.

The Public Relations Officer of the institution, Alhaji Soladoye Adewole attesting to the deployment of the Amotekun, said;

"There is nothing that is happening. We are all securing ourselves. It is a normal thing,”
