IBEDC Announces National Grid Collapse, Continued Darkness

The Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) has announced that as a result of the total system collapse of the national grid, all network across its franchise has been thrown into darkness.

Announcing via a statement signed by IBEDC management and made available by Kikelomo Owoeye, its Osun Region spokesperson, it stated that the system collapse occurred at 17:09 hours on Tuesday, March 15, 2022.

While apologising for the inconvenience, the statement also added that the public utility company was monitoring the situation with the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) to keep the customers updated on the situation.
