The Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) has announced that due to the ongoing routine maintenance on the Ayede-Jericho 132KV line and Ayede-Eleyele 132kV DC Transmission line by the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), some of the customers were going to experience down time of electricity distribution.
According to a statement by IBEDC management on Friday, December 9, 2022, the company revealed that its customers in most parts of Ibadan would be affected.
"Customers in Ijokodo, Apete, Ajibode, Ologuneru, Agbaje, Aba, Apata, Jericho, Dumoye, Oluseyi, Olopomewa, Awotan, Poly, Babalegba, Mercyland, Arometa, Providence Estate, Gethsemane, Okoro, Oke Itunu, Alaro, Post Housing and environs will be experiencing planned outages between 8am-5pm daily till 25th December, 2022."
While apologising for the inconvenience the downtime would cause, IBEDC assured its customers of improved supply.
It also assured that the maintenance exercise is aimed at increasing capacity of the existing lines.
