IBEDC Knocked Over Negligence As Ibadan Communities Suffer W

The Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) has been accused of negligence by thousands of consumers residing in some Ibadan communities.

In a message obtained by AllNews Nigeria, the community leaders alleged that there has been a total power outage in Holy Trinity communities comprising Abayomi Estate, Agbala Itura area, and Fagbamila street, Kufeyijin street, Ik Dairo area of Old Ife road axis of Ibadan North-East local government area. 

Suleiman Busari of Abayomi Estate, Architect Salako and Pastor Ina lo Need Of the Agbala area all disclosed that the Blackout began in mid-May of 2022 after a reckless driver hit some electricity poles supplying the communities.

"This resulted in a power outage that is affecting the entire Holy Trinity and environs", they said.

The blackout preceding the incident was alleged to have grounded economic activities in the part of Ibadan.

The communities revealed that they have reached out to IBEDC Monatan District to come to their aid.

They hinted that they wanted the IBEDC to visit the affected areas and find a lasting solution to the Blackout.

Activities in the affected communities have totally paralysed with business owners crying for help from the Authorities of the IBEDC
