IDP: NGO Gives Out Uniforms To 150 Pupils In Adamawa

A Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), F-Ship Foundation, has given out school uniforms to 150 pupils of Mission Primary School, Jabbi-Lamaba, Girei Local Government Area, Adamawa State.

The free items were distributed among victims of insurgency occupying the Internally Displaced Peoples (IDP) Camp in the state.
 
Wilbina Jackson, Adamawa Commissioner for Education, while speaking during the distribution on Friday commended the NGO for its contribution and concerns for educational development in the state.

Jackson, who noted that the pupils needed educational support, called on others to take a cue from the foundation and join hands with the government to provide them with improved quality of education 

Also speaking, Friday Iyabosa, Head of the foundations stated that the contribution was to assist the pupils and support the government’s efforts at securing quality and inexpensive education.

Iyabosa noted that, in the last three years, the foundation had intervened in various sectors, especially education.

“We provided writing materials at Malkohi Internally Displaced Peoples camp.

“We provided water and a wall fence at Bwaronji Primary School in Yola North Local Government Area in addition to school uniforms,’’  he said.

Rev. Stephen Mamza, Adamawa chapter Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN),/who also spoke during the event, noted that victims of insurgency needed the support of everyone.

He thanked the foundation for its contribution and prayed to God to reward its members.
