Idris Elba Suggests World Quarantine Week To Remember COVID-

Weeks after recovery from coronavirus, British actor, Idris Elba, has suggested that the world goes on one-week quarantine yearly to in remembrance of the virus when it’s finally gone.

Allnews reports that the 47-year-old actor had taken to his Twitter handle to share the news with his fans, earlier in May.

“This morning I tested positive for COVID 19,” he wrote. “I feel ok, I have no symptoms so far but have been isolated since I found out about my possible exposure to the virus.

Elba, whose wife also tested positive for the virus described his experience as “definitely scary and unsettling and nervous”.

Speaking to the Associated Press, the British actor suggested that the world commemorate every year once we’ve overcome the global health crisis.

“You know, everyone’s sort of feeling the way we have been feeling, but it has definitely been sort of just a complete upheaval.

“I think that the world should take a week of quarantine every year just to remember this time. Remember each other. I really do.’  He added: ‘I think it’s… other species use it. It’s called hibernation. But it does remind you that the world doesn’t tick on your time.”
