Over 250 flood victims in Ilesa East local government have benefited from relief materials from the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) in Osun State.
Speaking on behalf of the NEMA Director General, Akiode Saheed, the Southwest Zonal Coordinator for Ogun, Oyo, and Osun States, hinted that at least 250 flood victims in Ilesa East local government would benefit from the distribution of federal government relief supplies in Osun State.
Akiode made the announcement at the flag-off ceremony held at Ilesa Grammar School in preparation for the distribution of the relief supplies on Tuesday.
He then counselled the victims to use the relief supplies thoughtfully and to take good care of their surroundings, particularly now that the rainy season is approaching with all of its dangers.
Akiode clarified that approximately 250 persons received aid from Ilesa East, while other supplies intended for those still affected by the flood were transported to other local government districts within the state as indicated by the assessment.
Cement, roofing materials, pumps, sewing machines, food, and other supplies were among the donated relief items.
