Illegal Mining: Three Suspects Arrested In Delta State

The Delta State NSCDC unit has arrested three illegal mining suspects in Okpe Local Government Area of the State.

Three suspects for illegal mining activities were apprehended by members of the Solid Mineral Unit of the Nigerian Security & Civil Defence Corps, Delta State Command, in the Okpe Local Government Area of Ugbokodo waterside.

This was said in a statement signed and made available to newsmen by Dsc Emeka Peters Okwechime, the NSCDC Public Relations Officer.

The producer of the NSCDC photograph identified the suspects as Eze Emmanuel, "M," 32 years old from Ebonyi State, Samuel Ige, "M," 40 years old from Oyete in Isoko LGA in Delta State, and Isa Idris, "M," 18 years old from Kano State.

According to him, the individuals were apprehended after the command received a reliable intelligence tip.

“Although the suspects have been granted administrative bail, they would be charged to court when investigations are concluded,” DSC Emeka explained in his statement.
