Ayra Starr, the rising Nigerian music sensation, recently expressed her gratitude for being a part of Mavin Records and having Don Jazzy as her executive producer.
In a recent interview in Kenya, Ayra said that she is proud to work with Don Jazzy and has learned a lot from him, particularly about patience and hard work.
“I’m glad to be a part of Mavins. I’m proud to have Don Jazzy as my executive producer.
“I have learnt a lot from him; patience, hard work,” the ‘Bloody Samaritan’ crooner said.
Ayra Starr’s journey to becoming a Mavins Record artist began when she started going to a recording studio with her brother, where she recorded covers of popular songs that she later posted on her Instagram page.
Her hard work and dedication eventually paid off when in December 2019, Mavins Record boss, Don Jazzy discovered her singing her original work ‘Damage’ in a video on Twitter.
Though it took the entirety of 2020 to improve her craft, Don Jazzy signed her into the Mavins family that same year.
Her debut 5-track EP was released on January 21, 2021.
