The Supreme Court has fixed Tuesday, February 18, for the hearing in the appeal case filed by a former Imo State governor, Emeka Ihedioha over his ouster from office.
Ihedioha of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had filed an appeal asking the apex court to review its judgement on the governorship election held on March 9, 2019, in Imo State.
The Supreme Court had on January 14 and declared the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Hope Uzodinma, as the duly elected governor of Imo State.
The leadership of the PDP has organised a series of peaceful protests calling for the review of the judgement as well as the removal of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Mohammed Tanko.
