The recognition comes after Oparanozie announced her retirement from professional football last week.
Her last international duty was with the Super Falcons in the round of 16 of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, where Nigeria crashed out after losing 4-2 on penalties to England.
She however enjoyed an illustrious career, winning the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) with Nigeria in 2010, 2014, 2016 and 2018.
