Imo State: Aggrieved Youths Set Upon Uzodinma's Convoy

During the visit of Mr. Hope Uzodinma, the Imo State Governor, to Mmahu, in the Ohaji Egbema Local Government Area in Imo State, irate youths set on the convoy of the governor.

Mr. Hope was paid a visit to the community to pay a condolence visit to the families of the victims that lost their lives in an auto crash.

According to reports from the police, the youths, who are unidentified, had attacked the governor's car while he was in the home of the head of the community.

In a separate statement, the government of Imo debunked the rumor that the governor was attacked, saying that the angry youths only wanted the governor to give attention to a matter regarding the activities of oil companies that had set up shop in the community, also adding that the person who threw the stone was in detention.
