Improve power delivery - Kwara Govt to IBEDC

The Kwara State Government has urged the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company to improve service delivery to the people of the state, saying many communities are without power supply.

The government also called on the IBEDC to be considerate in the manner in which it billed the facilities owned by the state, including hospitals and waterworks.

The state Commissioner for Energy, AbdulAzeez AbdulGaniy, stated this on Tuesday during a courtesy visit to the IBEDC Regional Head, Toyin Akinyosoye, in Ilorin.

AbdulGaniy said the state government, on its part, had complimented the IBEDC services by paying the electricity bills of all government facilities promptly, constructing feeder lines and providing various communities with transformers and other electrical materials to enhance their access to regular electricity.

"We expect IBEDC to improve on your services to the people of the state in turn, and this will equally encourage the government to support you more,” the commissioner added.
