Indecent Dressing Among Nigerian Female Teachers, A Shameful Trend That Should Be Curtailed

Our female teachers are supposed to be role models to our students in schools, especially to female students. However, this is not the case today. 

Our schools are rather plagued with female teachers whose indecent dressing in the classroom has prevented female students from looking look up to these tutors. 

It is very unfortunate and shameful that some female school teachers who are meant to caution the female students about their dressing to school are the ones who are now seen dressing immorally and indecently to the school and the classrooms. 

This unethical dressing is becoming too rampant that if not curtailed, our school vicinity will turn into a breeding ground where immoral dressing at school by both female teachers and female students will be the order of the day. 

School authorities and principals of our schools should cultivate the habit of cautioning and even sanctioning female teachers who deem it fit to dress indecently in the school. 

If the school authorities and principals can caution these female teachers, it would go a long way in minimizing the unethical way of dressing to school and the classroom by some female teachers. 

However, if these female teachers are left alone and are allowed to dress the way they want in their various schools and classrooms, it will end up reflecting badly on our female students. 

These female students will end up dressing in the same manner in which these teachers dress, which is unethical. 

The female students would even start amending their school uniforms to reflect the indecent way their tutors have rubbed off on them. 

In a situation like this, where female students begin to dress indecently to school as a result of what they have learnt from their female teachers who dress immorally to school, the society at large will suffer the consequences because, at the end of the day when these female students start getting harassed, it will reflect badly on our society in all ramifications. 

Hence, indecent dressing among some female teachers should not be condoned and if any female teacher is caught guilty of indecent dressing such female teachers should be sanctioned accordingly.
