INEC To Resume Voters Registration Exercise on June 28

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced that the Continuous Voters Registration will resume on June 28 across the country.

The Commission Chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu, disclosed the date for the resumption of the exercise on Thursday at a press briefing which was held at the INEC’s headquarters in Abuja, the country’s capital.

Professor Yakubu also disclosed that the electoral authority has set the Direct Data Capture Machine, and would introduce a new device being developed by its in-house software engineers.

The Professor further explained that the new device, INEC Voter Enrolment Device (IVED), was developed to be compatible with the android operating system.
