Insecurity: Council Chairman Seeks Government Intervention T

Residents of Ipetu ideas, Oriade South local government area, Osun State have called on the federal and state governments to intervene in stopping the menace of hoodlums attack on the roads in the community.

They posited that the increase in hoodlum attacks is due to the bad state of the state road.

The road they disclosed has been in a bad state for three years and is now a hideout the hoodlums allegedly use to stop motorists and pedestrians and rob them of their possessions.

A check confirmed that the road is in very bad shape and as a result causes traffic problems for motorists.

The Chairman of the local government, Oladeji Benedict who disclosed that the federal road has been left unrepaired for the past three years added that the local and state governments had done their best on it. 

Speaking on the recent hoodlums' attack on October 12, he claimed that peace had already been restored as a result of his interventions.

He pleaded for intervention from the Federal Government in repairing the bad road.

While he begged the federal government to intervene and assist in repairing the road, he urged the residents always alert security personnel whenever they observed any suspicious movement.

He also pleaded with the people to support the government by paying their taxes and alerting the security officials if they notice any unusual movement.
